As the 747 made its final approach into Beijing, newlyweds Shawn Sullivan, mountaineer; and Young Jae Ho, archeologist and leader of the Tiananmen Square student occupation, took a deep breath and avoided eye contact.
The physical and emotional scars of their recent encounter with the dragon Dracus were still cutting, and they knew what was at stake on their visit to China. The souls of Shawn’s father, Jae’s parents, and a half billion others rested on their success of finding that rare piece of jade that Dracus desperately needed to appease Satan and in bringing it back to their Newfoundland home.
They knew what awaited them when they landed and were prepared for it. What they didn’t know was that a ghostly figure from Jae’s past would hunt them across the ancient landscape of China and Tibet and that two Beijing police detectives accompanied by a contingent of the People’s Liberation Army would stop at nothing to prevent them from escaping over the Himalayas with their Tibetan Jade.
